Day 1 – Positano

After an early start travelling from the Sorrento cat sanctuary apartment which Bekki was conveniently unaware of, we made it to the incredibly beautiful town of Positano, located in the heart of the Amalfi Coast. Just along the port we stopped for the best cappuccino ever which has blown any English coffee out of the water for me.

After a brief attempt of climbing up the steps to the b&b, a bag porter came to the rescue…

We picked up a lunch of handmade buffalo mozzarella, tomato & basil sandwiches, lasagne, courgette parmigiana & risotto stuffed tomatoes from a local delicatessen which we ate on our balcony 😍

Dinner at Da Vincenzo was amazing -Starting with a platter of local specialities including ricotta stuffed courgette flowers and followed by a mixed grill of fresh local seafood, served with lemon mashed potato, olive oil and griddled vegetables. The recommended wine pairing was perfect as well, although nearly as expensive as the food 😬. Now currently sat in bed drinking tea from the world’s largest tea cups & loving Positano so far!
